Project Manager/ Routing and Siting Lead
HDR Engineering is seeking a Project Manager/ Routing and Siting Lead to join our growing team of Environmental and Power Delivery professionals in the North Central Region.
Primary Responsibilities
:
Lead renewables and substation siting efforts, transmission line routing and siting, and manage projects. The ideal candidate has prior experience managing and providing technical leadership on projects, a strong background in environmental and related site development services, and the ability to visualize, build, and direct a strategic program focused on siting and related activities.
- Act as a client manager for select clients.
- Lead risk management activities.
- Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Perform routing/siting studies and analyses.
- Prepare and monitor project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Provide advice and direction on state filing requirements.
- Prepare state-specific siting applications.
- Prepare state environmental review, National Environmental Policy Act, and other environmental documents.
- Travel on average 20% of the time expected.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related field; minimum 10 years of experience in linear projects involving land acquisition, routing, or environmental planning; and experience preparing applications for submittal to state utility regulatory agencies.

- Experience preparing and providing expert witness testimony.
- Strong conceptual, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and research abilities.
- Extensive public participation, agency coordination, and planning experience.
Required Qualifications
:
Bachelor's degree in related field; 10 years related experience; a minimum of 5 years of project management experience; and familiarity with Microsoft Office, estimating and scheduling software, and project management software.
