Responsibilities- Safely manage day‑to‑day operations of refinery processes, finished fuels, and water treatment programs.
- Lead a team of Account Representatives and Technicians at the customer’s location.
- Develop trusted relationships with customers and cross‑functional teams to promote collaboration.
- Apply account‑management fundamentals to understand customer needs, requirements, and potential sales opportunities while supporting the account P&L.
- Identify and coordinate numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers.
- Monitor and report performance of existing treatment programs.
- Collaborate with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to customers.
- Collect and interpret data for troubleshooting, service reports, meetings, reviews, and presentations delivered to customers.
- Provide field support, laboratory analysis, and technical guidance for customers on issues, projects, turn‑arounds, shut‑downs, and daily operations.
- Manage chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer location.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or a similar discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in refining, supporting hydrocarbon process and finished fuels additives treatment programs.
- Strong understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales process.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation.
- A comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and refinery market conditions.
- Ability to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to drive a company vehicle and hold a clean motor vehicle record.
- TWIC Card or ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
- Residence within commuting distance to Lemont, IL.
Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 7 am–4 pm, with availability for after‑hours support as required.

The annual pay scale for this position is between $76,800.00 and $.
Applicants for this role must be located in or near Lemont, IL.
Baker Hughes will issue a non‑bias competitive offer; the salary range posted reflects the projected hiring range for new hires, full‑time salaries in some U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits.
Eligible for the company‑sponsored benefit programs, including health & welfare programs and the Thrift Plan (401k). This position is also eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
