CEC has an immediate opening for a PROFESSIONAL LAND SURVEYOR to work in the Surveying Department, as the Assistant Department Head. The Surveying Department at CEC provides services to support our in‑house roadway and bridge projects; as well as provides services for developers, governmental agencies and other engineering firms.

• Perform route surveying and layout required for engineering design and construction and complete all related computations necessary to complete said tasks.
• Perform boundary surveying, courthouse records research, boundary analysis needed for right of way acquisition, ALTA surveys, private land development, & related work.
• Prepare plats of survey, right‑of‑way plats/plans, parcel descriptions, and related surveying documents.
• Collaborate effectively with the CEC Team and Survey staff, as assigned, on a regular basis.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Department Head.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and invoices.
• Perform job duties with limited assistance.
