Your Role

The Loan Officer position has an important role in working with our members to help reach their financial goals. This position will work with members through the loan process and researching loan product options. Analyze applications and communicate decisions with borrowers. Ensure required documentation and procedures are completed throughout the loan process.

  • Assist members with memberships, communicating Credit Union lending products and assisting in the loan application process.
  • Analyze credit history and complete process for lending approval/denial decisions.
  • Ensure that clear communications of the loan process with borrowers.
  • Complete documentation needed to comply with procedures and policies related to Department best practices.
  • Meet with members in person, by telephone or virtually to assist with lending inquiries.
  • Actively work to develop business leads with a variety of contacts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department activities.
Qualifications

Our desired candidate will have 1-3 years of similar or related experience, possess interpersonal and communication skills to meet with members requiring a high degree of confidentiality related to financial goals, and be able to self direct and manage multiple tasks. Candidates with strong written and verbal communication skills, understanding of lending terms and experience in Indirect Lending and Home Equity experience a plus.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and industry software preferred. Associates degree or recognized industry certifications as equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred. This is an in-office position, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm available for occasional evening/weekend work.
