Finance and Insurance Assistant

We are looking for a motivated Finance and Insurance (F&I) Assistant to support our dynamic sales and finance teams at Landmark Ford, Inc. We are a part of the Landmark Automotive Group in Springfield, Illinois. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment where you can develop valuable skills in automotive financing, insurance products, and dealership operations.

• Assist the Finance and Insurance Manager with preparing and processing finance and lease agreements.
• Ensure all required documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with lenders and financial institutions to secure financing for customers.
• Present and explain additional F&I products, including vehicle service contracts, GAP insurance, and protection plans.
• Maintain organized files and records of all transactions in accordance with dealership policies.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering client questions regarding financing, insurance products, and paperwork.
• Support the sales team with administrative tasks related to the vehicle delivery process.
• Perform data entry and assist with maintaining compliance logs and reporting.
• Stay up to date on finance programs, insurance offerings, and industry regulations.
• Source out and contact potential customers for the purpose of creating interest, setting sales appointments and support the sales team in closing those sales.

• Previous experience in automotive finance, insurance, or administrative support preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in working the phones to reach out and contact customers.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with dealer management systems (DMS) is a plus.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong team player mindset.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance or business is a plus.

• Hourly rate of $16.50 to $20.00, plus performance‑based commissions and bonuses that can equal 32‑50% of total earnings.
