Shift: Unknown – must be able to work all days and shifts as needed.
Responsibilities- Ensure all work assigned to the shift is handled properly and completely.
- Assign daily tasks for staff and ensure completion and quality of work.
- Perform intake investigations, custody services, and help plan, implement, and evaluate programming on the shift.
- Minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited college, university, or community college, preferably in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, social work, or related social sciences;
- or a high school diploma with at least two years prior employment in law enforcement or experience in a residential care, specialized care, or detention facility.
- Age 21 or older.
- Must be on the Administrative Office of Illinois Courts hiring eligibility list at the time of employment offer.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid driver’s license.
- Must pass a criminal and DCFS background check and a drug screening.
- YOU MUST HAVE THE ABILITY TO WORK ON ANY SHIFT.
Ability and desire to work with delinquent youth in a secure detention setting, which may require physical restraint of minors; knowledge of the criminal justice system and ability to supervise staff.
Salary & BenefitsStarting salary range of $62,252.00 - $69,399.00 with health, dental, and life insurance; pension plan; deferred compensation option; paid vacation, sick, and personal time.
