Certified Sterile Processing Technician

Compass Surgical Partners is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician to join their team at Springfield Regional Outpatient Surgery Center, LLC, located at 2610 N Limestone St, Springfield, OH 45503.

Role Summary
:
The Central Processing Sterile Technician is responsible for cleaning, sterilizing, assembling, and storing surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring the operating team has the tools needed for safe, effective patient care.

Hours
:
Monday–Friday schedule, with no nights, weekends, holidays, or call.

Responsibilities
:

• Clean, inspect, sterilize, and package instruments and equipment according to standards
• Assemble instrument trays and maintain accurate labeling and storage
• Operate sterilizers, washers, and related equipment safely and effectively
• Monitor and maintain sterile supply inventory; check for outdated or compromised items
• Support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives
• Communicate effectively with teammates, physicians, and other staff
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant sterile processing work area

Requirements
:
High school diploma or GED required, prior experience in sterile processing preferred, CRCST certification, and current BLS certification.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
:
Frequent standing, walking, and lifting, with occasional stooping, kneeling, or climbing. Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs). Regular exposure to blood borne pathogens, chemicals, and sterilization equipment in a fast-paced environment.
