Cencora is hiring a PRN pharmacist for a new pharmacy location in Sterling, Illinois. The role involves medication dispensing, patient consultation, clinical oversight, and support for pharmacy operations and business metrics.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, prepare, and dispense medications according to professional standards and legal requirements
- Provide clinical consultation to patients and prescribers regarding medication therapy and care plans
- Supervise pharmacy technicians including hiring, training, and performance management
- Manage prescription claims, insurance verification, and financial adjustments for reimbursement
- Assist with pharmacy operations, quality assurance, and compliance with regulatory policies
- Bachelor of Science or PharmD from accredited pharmacy school
- Current unrestricted pharmacist license in appropriate state
- 1-3 years retail or ambulatory pharmacy experience
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Leadership and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and pharmaceutical products
- Ability to work accurately under time and volume constraints
