SUMMARY OF
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), the Deputy Chief Technology Officer will be responsible for managing office-wide Information Technology (IT) initiatives and assisting with the technology infrastructure in the Attorney General’s Office. The Deputy Chief Technology Officer is responsible for guiding the implementation of new IT system development, projects, and network infrastructure enhancement; leading IT communications; researching current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development;
assisting with the management of IT staff; the development and analysis of the Office’s IT budget; ensuring compliance with IT and OAG related policies, procedures, and trainings; and overseeing the tracking of IT inventory.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technology leadership and infrastructure services. A demonstrated ability to manage and lead an organization in a highly diverse operating environment. As well as solid technical familiarity with workstation and client server environments, local and wide area networks, large scale database operations, and other applicable tools and technologies.
Ability to effectively coordinate, prioritize and collaborate along with outstanding written verbal communication skills. Attendance and the ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the public are essential functions of this position.
HOURS OF WORK: 8:45 a.m.
- 4:45 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
