The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures for multiple clients in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ensuring high availability of network services. The engineer will serve as an escalation point for the NOC team and collaborate with clients to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable network solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design & Implementation architect and deploy LAN/WAN, SD‑WAN, VPN, and wireless solutions for client environments.
  • Configure and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance oversee network monitoring tools (e.g., Datto, Logic Monitor, PRTG) to ensure uptime and performance.
  • Perform proactive maintenance and capacity planning.
  • Troubleshooting & Escalation act as Tier 3 escalation for complex network issues and conduct root cause analysis to implement permanent fixes.
  • Change Management & ITIL Compliance follow ITIL‑aligned processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management; prepare and submit detailed change requests, including risk assessments, rollback plans, and impact analysis; participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and ensure all changes are documented and approved before implementation.
  • Security & Compliance implement network security best practices, including firewall policies, IDS/IPS, and VLAN segmentation; ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI‑DSS, HIPAA).
  • Documentation & Reporting maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, SOPs, and change logs; provide regular performance and incident reports to management and clients.
  • Client Interaction collaborate with clients on network strategy, upgrades, and migrations; participate in technical meetings and provide consultative guidance.
Required Qualifications
  • Education
    :
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience 5+ years in network engineering roles, preferably in MSP or NOC environments; hands‑on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar platforms.
