Role OverviewThe Legal Counsel position supports a rapidly growing business by partnering with and advising business teams on commercial contracts and legal issues. The role requires a commercial contracts attorney who is a team player and can creatively solve problems while applying sound business and legal judgment across a wide variety of commercial contracts and relationships.
Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts including NDA, technology & software licenses, master service agreements, SOWs, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, and other vendor agreements.
- Contribute to negotiations with vendors and suppliers to achieve optimal balance of service, cost, quality, and risk mitigation.
- Manage the standard procurement agreement process from intake and drafting through negotiation and execution.
- Conduct research as needed.
- Work on special projects as needed.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- At least 3 years of law firm or combination of law firm and in‑house experience drafting and negotiating contracts.
- Experience handling a high volume of contracts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and develop new skills.
- Independent and innovative thinker with strong analytical and reasoning judgment.
- Ability to juggle multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
- Strong work ethic with proactive follow‑up.
- Self‑starter capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- General understanding of data privacy and protection laws.
- Familiarity with automotive advertising guidelines is a plus.
- Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning issues is a plus.
- Licensed to practice law in the United States.
This role is limited to candidates with indefinite work authorization in the United States.
Compensation & Benefits (US Applicants Only)- Anticipated base salary range: $75,671–$150,000, based on location, experience and qualifications.
