Industrial Electrician

Overview

We are currently seeking 2nd and 3rd shift Industrial Electricians. This onsite role is located 30-40 minutes east of Springfield, IL. There is a $10,000 sign-on bonus available.

$44.00/hr - $46.00/hr

Sign-on bonus

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints and manuals.
• Install and maintain electrical equipment, power distribution, lighting, signals and alarms.
• Troubleshoot and maintain relay logic circuits, starters, motors, electrical metering devices and electrical measuring devices.
• Fabricate and install metallic and non-metallic conduit, buss duct and wire raceway.
• Design and build various control panels.
• Draw schematics.
• Use multimeters, meggers, amp probes, oscilloscope, signal generators and other electrical/electronic test equipment in the performance of duties.
• Update and maintain knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
• Troubleshoot and repair various electronic controls and circuits.
• Repair circuit boards and electronic components as needed.
• Trouble shoot and repair programmable controllers, NC, CNC, radio controlled devices and DNC machine tools and equipment.
• Contain and clean up hazardous materials.
• Adapt new methods and procedures as required.
• Assist other skilled classifications as needed.
• Perform predictive maintenance checks.
• Operate production and non-production equipment and machine tools as required in the performance of duties.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections, repairs and adjustments.
• Prepare written predictive maintenance and preventive maintenance reports in performance of duties.
• Instruct trainees when necessary.
• Requisition replacement parts and materials.
• Participate in additional training as related to their work.
• Stock parts and materials needed in performance of duties.
• Operate material handling equipment and man lifts as instructed in Plant Safety Rules and according to OSHA standards.
• Maintain equipment and working area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform Electrician “A” work as needed.
• Perform all duties in the highest standard of productivity and quality.
• Required four years verifiable experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Excellent hourly rate of $43.22 plus 40 cents for 2nd shift differential and 45 cents for 3rd shift with a weekly paycheck
