• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing Contract
• Unit: Cardiac Stepdown (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)
• Facility: Acute Care, Level I Trauma, Magnet Hospital
• Start Date: December 8, 2025
• End Date: March 9, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15), 3x12 or 4x12 per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2000-$2050
• Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting: Cerner EMR
• Scrub Color: Any solid color
• Parking: Free with permit

• Active Illinois RN license (required at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown, IMC, PCU, or Telemetry nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• BLS and NIHSS certifications (ACLS preferred)
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Level I Trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Ability to float within scope as needed
• Willingness to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assignment spans holiday period

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Cardiac Stepdown/IMC/PCU setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage dysrhythmias
• Care for post-cardiac angiogram, post-MI, pre/post cardiac cath, and post-cardiac surgery patients
• Perform sheath removal, TR band management, and feeding tube care
• Manage pre/post hemodialysis, renal failure, and central/arterial/PICC line care
• Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, heparin protocols, and blood products
• Care for ventilated patients, tracheostomies, chest tubes, and use of CPAP/BIPAP/HFNC
• Provide wound care, wound vac management, and isolation precautions
• Respond to rapid response and code situations as needed
• Float to other nursing units within scope as required
