Position: 5B Urology/Nephrology/Kidney Transplant

The RN will care for surgical and medical patients, including team leadership, dressing changes, CBI, treatment for end-stage renal disease, postoperative transplant care, medication management, central line care, patient education, and managing complex comorbidities. Patients range from young adults to geriatrics, in private rooms.

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

• Licensed as RN in Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to position and transfer adult patients; gross coordination for patient care tasks; ability to stand for prolonged periods; perform skills such as IV insertion and IM injections.
• Work environment includes exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissues, contagious diseases, and hazardous materials.
