Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for an 8-week travel nursing contract in the Fairfield, Mount Vernon, and Mount Carmel, Illinois area. The role offers up to $61 per hour for 36 hours per week of night shift care in a hospital emergency department. The position provides a consistent schedule and hospital-based emergency department experience.
Key Responsibilities:Provide emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions
Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing patient monitoring
Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments
Assist with trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other critical-care situations
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge plans
Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and emergency department protocols
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Active Illinois RN license or ability to obtain prior to start
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
Skills:
PALS certification
TNCC certification
Previous Emergency Room / Emergency Department nursing experience
You hold an active Illinois RN license and certifications. You can thrive in fast-paced emergency department settings. You possess BLS, ACLS, and preferably PALS or TNCC
