The Habegger Corporation in Springfield, IL is looking to hire a full-time Territory Manager to engage with our current dealers, recruit new ones, and meet sales goals. This HVAC sales manager position earns a competitive base salary of $75,000 in the first year. After that, the position earns an excellent commission plus draw. Top producing TM's can earn $150,000+. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TERRITORY MANAGERAs a Territory Manager, you play an important role in driving our growth. Your job is to strengthen current dealers while also recruiting new ones. As you balance these two responsibilities, your days are never the same. You spend your time on the road, covering all areas of your territory. While there, you help resolve customer challenges and ensure that the dealers have a clear understanding of the brands we carry.
You ensure they sign up for our marketing programs and attend the technical, management, and sales training we offer.
You also provide quotes for residential and light commercial work, field customer requests, and decide which team members need to be involved to fulfill the request.
As a people person, you enjoy some after‑hours socializing with our current dealers, but deep down, you’re a salesperson, too. You thrive on meeting potential dealers and convincing them to join our team. Whether you’re cold‑calling, asking for leads, or following up, you’re on your game. For recruiting and retention purposes, you host factory tours or events. You also give high‑quality sales presentations and demonstrate our online tools.
You focus on sales and continuous improvement. Achieving goals for you and your dealers is a team effort, and you are proud to help us all thrive!
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and PDFs
- Knowledge about finance, marketing, and pricing
- Solid understanding of financial statements
- Sales management aptitude
- Maintaining residence in the territory
HVAC experience is a plus, but not required. A bachelor's degree is also preferred.
Work ScheduleThis HVAC sales manager position works from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with some weekend and night shifts. One night a month might involve travel to the far reaches of the territory.
