Accounts Receivable Clerk

Westaff is Hiring for a Part Time Accounts Receivable Position in West Springfield, MA!

Shift: Monday – Friday, 10am – 4pm, after training can grow to full time at 40 hours a week

Pay Rate: $20 an hour

• Answer incoming calls in a busy multi-line office in a professional and friendly manner
• Post customer payments to accounts, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions
• Contact customers regarding outstanding account balances
• Send billing reminders, reports, and account statements
• Support the sales team with collections as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of department, company, and customer information
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Management

• Required: Previous accounting / bookkeeping / billing / general ledger experience
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Calm, professional demeanor when working with customers, vendors, and the public
• Fast and accurate typing skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to solve practical problems and manage accounting variables
• Ability to calculate figures and apply basic accounting and math concepts
