Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Painter to join our talented team at Bertera Collision. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive refinishing, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering top-notch results. As an Automotive Painter, you will be responsible for applying paint and finishes to vehicles while ensuring quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas that do not require paint.
  • Mix paints and other materials according to specifications and techniques.
  • Apply paint to vehicles using spray guns and other painting equipment.
  • Inspect finished work for quality and ensure it meets company and industry standards.
  • Repair imperfections in paint and finishes, such as runs, sags, or dust inclusions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with collision repair technicians and other team members to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Stay updated on the latest painting techniques, materials, and industry trends.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or questions clients may have regarding paint jobs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; completion of a formal automotive painting program is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an automotive painter, preferably in a collision repair environment.
  • Proficiency with spray painting equipment and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver quality results.
  • Knowledge of color theory, mixing, and matching paint.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and practices in an automotive repair shop.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
