Overview

Baystate Health is a not-for-profit, integrated healthcare system in western Massachusetts consisting of an academic medical center, three community hospitals, and the region’s largest multispecialty group. Our flagship hospital, Baystate Medical Center, is home to the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School-Baystate. We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician to join our organization.

• The Hospital Medicine Division at Baystate Health consists of over 250 dedicated physicians & APPs practicing evidence-based medicine across four hospitals in western MA.
• Baystate Medical Center, our 716-bed flagship hospital in Springfield, MA, is a level 1 trauma center and tertiary care center. Our hospitalists also provide services at our three community hospitals within a 20–45-minute radius.
• We offer a 7 on/7 off schedule, 10-hour shifts split between Baystate Medical Center and our three community sites, with strong support from swing shift and nocturnist providers.
• Hospitalists are responsible for more than 40,000 discharges annually system-wide across medical and surgical subspecialties, accounting for more than 250,000 encounters throughout our four hospitals.
• Baystate’s academic environment supports professional development, with a hospital medicine fellowship to enhance future leadership knowledge and an Academic Teaching Academy to foster continuous learning.

We are able to sponsor H1B visas but are unable to provide J1 waivers for day shift positions.

ABMS BE/BC in Internal Medicine. We seek physicians dedicated to a hospital medicine career. Hospitalist experience strongly preferred.
