Action Centered Tutoring Services - ACTS
It is the mission of ACTS to provide free one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to the elementary children of Springfield, MA in the Spirit of Christ.
Responsibilities- Establish a relationship with a child in need.
- Help a student in an area of academic weakness.
- Build a friendship by meeting some of the real needs of a child.
- Communicate your love to the child.
- Attend training sessions as required.
- Work cooperatively under the direction.
How you help
ACTS is the ONLY one-to-one, faith based tutoring and mentoring program in Springfield. There is always a great need for caring adults. For each student to be enrolled, an adult needs to volunteer. Everyone needs to give back something, and giving friendship and academic help to an elementary student in Springfield makes a very big difference in that student’s life. Volunteers range from high school students to senior citizens.
No experience is necessary. There is always a great need.
ACTS is a faith based program providing free one-to-one tutoring and mentoring to elementary school students at nine locations throughout Springfield, MA.
