Associate Teacher (SY25-26, Middle School)

In this role, you will play a key part in advancing the academic and social‑emotional success of our middle school scholars through the following responsibilities:

• Build Your Teaching
  
  Skills:
  
  Work closely with experienced educators through mentorship, observation, and hands‑on classroom experience to prepare for a future lead teaching role in ELA, Math, Science, History, Special Education, or ESL/MLL.
• Support Instruction:
  Serve as a substitute teacher when needed to ensure consistency in high‑quality instruction.
• Deliver Small Group Instruction:
  Teach daily academic support lessons (1–10 students) tailored to students who need extra support or enrichment.
• Foster Positive Relationships:
  Build meaningful connections with students and families to contribute to strong, high‑expectation classroom cultures.
• Engage in
  
  Coaching:
  
  Participate in regular coaching and feedback sessions to refine your practice.
• Support School Operations:
  Help lead daily duties such as hallway transitions, lunch, and advisory.

This role is ideal for aspiring educators—including recent graduates, career changers, and education students—looking to gain meaningful classroom experience before stepping into a lead teaching role.

• Prior experience working with youth is preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States by your first day of employment is required.
