Description of Primary DutiesPer Course Instructors should be qualified to teach MTH 101 or 103 Intermediate Algebra, MTH 130 Contemporary Math, MTH 134 Algebraic Reasoning and Modeling, MTH 136 Precalculus I, and MTH 450 Theory of Interest. We may also have need of Per Course instruction for MTH 320 Foundations of Mathematics for Teachers and courses in the graduate EMS program.
Per Course Faculty are expected to hold office hours, submit grades according to University schedule, and participate in group grading sessions (where used for particular courses).
Minimum Acceptable QualificationsPer Course Faculty should possess a master’s degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean.
Additional QualificationsPer Course faculty must have a minimum of 18 credit hours in graduate level mathematics content coursework.
