Adjunct/Per Course Faculty, Sociology, Anthropology and Gerontology (Spring 2026).

Missouri State University seeks to establish a pool of qualified candidates for adjunct/per-course teaching in Sociology, Anthropology and Gerontology for Spring 2026. Applications may be for a course that may be offered; there may be no current opening. Applications and transcripts are evaluated prior to the selection of interviewees. Description of Primary Duties

Teach sections of introductory General Education courses of Sociology, Anthropology or Gerontology, submit grades by due dates, and support department and university goals and mission. Employee reports to the Department Head.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Per Course Faculty should possess a master's degree or the equivalent professional experience in a field determined acceptable by the Dean.

Additional Qualifications

A sample syllabus will be shared to facilitate course preparation. Missouri State uses the learning management system Brightspace (D2L). Applicant will be required to use Brightspace D2L to post all course materials, assignments, and grades as well as to establish virtual office hours to meet with students as needed.
