SummaryUnder the supervision of the Radiologist and according to established procedures, operates diagnostic X-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic films according to Radiologist specifications. Performs diagnostic procedures including fluoroscopy and invasive exams as required, portable imaging in NICU, Pedi, OR, ICU, ER; outpatient X-rays. May perform mobile and surgical procedures in the surgical suites and patient rooms. Fluoroscopic units used during specialized procedures for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Responds to emergency situations (contrast reactions and medical emergencies) according to departmental and hospital policy. Makes sound clinical judgement in emergencies. May float to other Baystate Health locations as needed to support patient care and staffing.
