- Bonus: Up to $2,000 for eligible external hires

What You’ll DoAs a Surgical Technologist in the OR, you will:
- Assist surgeons and physicians with a wide range of complex procedures, including minimally invasive and open surgeries.
- Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical environment to ensure optimal patient safety.
- Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment in a timely manner.
- Function across multiple specialties and adapt quickly to emergent situations.
- Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other clinicians as a key part of a multidisciplinary care team.

Surgical Technologist I- Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or equivalent accredited training program
- AST Certification*
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
* Required for new hires without prior surgical facility experience before July 1, 2013.
Surgical Technologist II- Meets all Tech I requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience, or 1 year at BMC with completion of orientation competencies
- Meets all Tech I requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience, including at least 1 year at Baystate Health

Surgical Technology (Required)
Certifications: Basic Life Support – American Heart Association;
Certified Surgical Technician – Other
