Overview
Base pay range: $40.00/hr - $60.00/hr this opening requires travel between multiple sites as listed below.
Baystate:
Sunday 7am-5:30pm and Mondays 10:30am – 9pm;
Cooley/Baystate:
Thursday 9am-7:30am;
Berkshire:
Friday, 9:30am-8:00pm.
- Follow all Shields Health Care Group policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times.
- Follow rules and regulations established by the NRC, state regulatory agencies, and JCAHO.
- Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
- Operate PET equipment to produce images and measure concentrations of radioactive isotopes in specific body areas and body products.
- Perform all hot lab responsibilities.
- Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
- Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
- Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
- Complete all forms pertaining to the patient’s exam.
- Record patient data to the Tech Data Entry program.
- Provide and issue films when appropriate.
- Forward PET related data to the Radiologist upon completion of the exam.
- Refilm cases as time allows.
- Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
- Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
- Must possess a state license for the state(s) in which they are employed to work.
- Must be certified in CPR.
- Must be registered by the ARRT and/or NMTCB.
- A minimum of one year of prior nuclear medicine experience is required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Must be proficient in starting IVs.
- Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods. Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
Pay range for this position is $40 - $60/hr plus benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
