PET/CT Technologist

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join our mobile team. This full‑time role (40 hours per week) operates PET/CT scanners to produce diagnostic images with a patient‑centered approach. The position offers a sign‑on bonus of $10,000, a pay range of $54–$70 per hour based on direct and relevant experience, and the opportunity to work in a mobile setting with flexible hours (6:30 am–5:00 pm).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Screen patients before exam, ensuring correct patient identification and checking for contraindications.
  • Explain and prepare patients for PET/CT procedures, positioning them appropriately.
  • Perform routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Adjust scan parameters correctly and apply dose reduction techniques.
  • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and peers.
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Accurately record patient data in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Clean and disinfect equipment after each use to maintain a clean work area.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit, accreditation requirements, and HIPAA guidelines.
  • Administer radio pharmaceuticals according to NRC/state regulations and departmental policies.
  • Demonstrate safety‑related work behaviors and report contamination to the Radiation Safety Officer.
Department Support (5%)
  • Maintain updated imaging protocol manuals and manage software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as needed.
  • Assist with training new associates and provide technical support.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly quality control surveys on PET/CT equipment.
  • Conduct departmental radiation standard surveys in compliance with NRC/state regulations.
Additional Tasks (5%)

Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
