Job Summary: The Outcomes Associate has knowledge and skills in computers, database management, research data collection, and presentation. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and time management capabilities.
Education requirements:
A bachelor's degree is preferred, and past experience is strongly considered. Adheres to system and department compliance policies and any applicable laws and regulations. The Outcomes Associate provides exceptional service to internal and external customers and will effectively perform data abstraction and input for registries/databases and execute data management responsibilities.
Pay ranges (Hourly): $23.00 – $26.44 – $31.28
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates all aspects of data maintenance for the quality outcomes office and assigned projects
- Monitors the collection of all assigned variables in an accurate and timely manner
- Collates variables into a clearly presentable format for review
- Formats necessary data for research presentations as requested by the Neurosciences program coordinator, Outcomes RNs, Service Line Leaders, or Physician partners
- Prepares data for presentation to Performance Improvement teams and selected service leaders on request
- Is knowledgeable regarding computer software and works in tandem with the System Administrator and IS to manage and troubleshoot the clinical outcomes database
- Acts as hospital liaison with state and national databank registry organizations and stays current with membership requirements
- Submits specified outcome data to state and national data registries per program requirements
- Performs data abstraction and input for registries/databases and executes Neurosciences specific program data management responsibilities
- Demonstrates positive interactions with patients, physicians, and staff
- Organizes records so that an audit may be conducted at any point without special effort
- Demonstrates respect for patient confidentiality and rights
- Demonstrates strong interdepartmental/intradepartmental collaboration and internal customer responsiveness
- Works in tandem with Outcomes RNs to ensure completeness of data collected for internal needs as well as external submission processes
- Organizes and transmits data within HIPAA guidelines on time and in a smoothly organized fashion
- Makes data available internally
- Maintains accurate and complete patient records as required by department policies
- Assists with data collection/management required to support research projects
Qualifications:
- Minimally Required
Education:
Associate's Degree - Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree
- Minimally
Required Experience:
Two years in Health Care - Preferred
Work Experience:
Strong experience in Customer Service and related experience - Skills and
Competencies:
Speaks clearly, Computer, Telephone, Data Entry, Medical Terminology
