EMT Academy- 2026 Class

Join to apply for the EMT Academy – February 2026 Class role at American Medical Response

January 16, 2026. Starting pay rate: $16.50 per hour.

The American Medical Response sponsored EMT Academy is a 10‑week, full‑time program beginning early February 2026, taught in person, Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm.

The academy will be conducted at Western Mass Academy at AMR‑Springfield and qualifies employees to take the Commonwealth of Massachusetts psychomotor and National Registry of EMT cognitive exams.

There is no cost for the class; all books, tuition, fees, and uniforms are paid by AMR Springfield. Employees will receive a training wage during attendance.

Upon successful completion, the employee will be transferred to an EMT position with an increased compensation rate and must work for AMR Springfield full‑time for at least one year.

• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a high‑school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Have all required immunizations
• Successfully complete pre‑employment screening (vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing, physical agility test)
