Full time, Day Shift.

Prepares patients for office visits; performs tasks including escorting patients to treatment rooms, obtaining pertinent patient information for the medical record, labeling and documenting information in patients’ charts. Processes patient telephone calls and correspondence for the practice. Organizes and prioritizes duties to optimize efficiency and promote positive patient outcomes. Scribes information on a regular basis.

The Medical Assistant – Gastroenterology supports patients and providers in a fast-paced specialty practice focused on digestive health. Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, collecting specimens, and ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record. Prepares exam rooms and helps maintain a smooth patient flow throughout the day. Ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, compassionate, and thrives in a collaborative clinical environment.

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms; prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Obtain pertinent history and enter into the medical record: chief complaint, medical and surgical history, allergies, medications, and appropriate review of systems; take and document patient vital signs.
• Process and file all lab/diagnostic test results, correspondence, clinical notes in patients’ chart after review by the physician.
• Coordinate patient flow in the office; collaborate with receptionist to ensure patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist front office personnel by answering the telephone, scheduling patient appointments, and other tasks as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of six (6) months of related work experience required.
• Knowledge of medical assisting normally associated with obtaining an Associate’s Degree in Medical Assistance preferred;
  National Certification as a Medical Assistant a plus.

$18.00 - $26.10

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
