General Summary

Provides primary support to the Human Resources Department. Works with HR Administrators and HR Analysts in support of all HR functions, projects, and district initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Processes new hires, transfers, salary changes, resignations, and retirements in the MUNIS system.
  • Verifies applicant and staff certification and licensure; tracks and reports documentation.
  • Updates education levels from original transcripts into MUNIS.
  • Gathers and reviews Loan Forgiveness forms submitted by employees; tracks and reports forms.
  • Processes new hire or termination paperwork for all employees.
  • Schedules and meets with new hires to review and submit paperwork to the Human Resources Analyst.
  • Mailing, filing, and scanning for new hires, transfers, changes, salary changes, resignations, and retirements.
  • Contacts employees to report for hiring sessions and verifies accuracy and completion of paperwork.
  • Answers questions and distributes forms to payroll, benefits, and retirement departments.
  • Performs administrative duties: answering phone, scanning, word processing, and file organization.
  • Access or exposure to confidential information.
  • Performs related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
Minimum Job Qualifications

Education and Experience
Associate's degree in Business, Administration, Human Resources, or related field. Minimum 1–2 years’ experience, including experience in office setting handling confidential and sensitive information.

  • Knowledge of contracts.
  • Knowledge of new hire forms.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast‑paced, high‑demand educational environment with time‑sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to use (or learn to use) computer software and systems applicable to the position.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and focus on detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain constructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with staff and outside entities.

Physical Requirements

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, negligible amount of force frequently, and/or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Working Environment

This position requires the employee to work in an office or similar indoor environment. Employees may encounter rude or irate individuals.
