Customer Service Consultant - Industrial Machinery (Northeast Territory)
Position Summary
The Customer Service Consultant (CSC) is the cornerstone of customer satisfaction at Cold Jet, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance of our advanced dry ice solution systems. This role combines customer service excellence with hands-on technical proficiency. The CSC provides on-site installation, training, troubleshooting, and repair support for Cold Jet equipment at customer facilities within the assigned territory. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and optimizing equipment performance.
The CSC builds robust customer relationships and drives revenue growth within the region by empowering customers with knowledge and identifying opportunities for additional Cold Jet products, parts, and services. This role requires a proactive individual who seeks innovative solutions to enhance products and processes, delivering exceptional value to customers.
This position is for the Northern Eastern territory.
Position Responsibilities
- Technical Expertise & Customer Support: Proactive preventative maintenance, diagnose and resolve technical issues, perform on-site repairs and maintenance, provide technical training, own customer issues and warranty work, and act as a technical resource for customer inquiries.
- Revenue Generation & Relationship Management: Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers, conduct consultative sales, generate sales leads, maintain accurate records using the company tech stack, maintain company assets, and represent the company professionally.
Position Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Field Service Maintenance, or equivalent experience. Engineering experience is a plus.
- Proven technical aptitude with hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Experience using multi-meters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a technical customer service or field service role.
- Experience selling capital or industrial goods in a B2B environment is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds for on-site installation, servicing, and transporting tools and parts.
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching; stamina for varying field environments.
Skill Competencies
- Strong technical diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities; customer-focused with commitment to service.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and CRM applications.
- Ability to work independently and in a team; valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle, including towing a trailer.
- Willingness to travel extensively (50% or more) and work irregular hours.
