Facilities Supervisor – New Facility
Location: Springfield/Agawam, MA
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 annually
Job SummaryWe are excited to announce the opening of a brand-new facility in Springfield/Agawam, MA, and we are seeking a dedicated Facilities Supervisor to help build and lead our maintenance and housekeeping operations from the ground up. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our new facility, while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
You will oversee a team of maintenance and housekeeping staff, coordinate with outside vendors, and respond to facility-related needs and emergencies as the program grows.
- Supervise and coordinate all maintenance and housekeeping functions for the new facility.
- Participate in the Safety Committee, maintain the Safety Handbook, and ensure all staff receive proper safety training.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs and inspections to ensure our new building meets all safety and program standards.
- Provide status updates to the Facilities Manager and oversee vendor and contractor relationships.
- Respond to off-hours facility emergencies as needed.
- Maintain compliance with Building Codes, NFPA, CARF/Life Safety Codes, and other applicable regulations.
- Complete all required training and professional development.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Directly supervise the maintenance and housekeeping staff, ensuring the smooth operation of all facility services.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical, building maintenance, and HVAC systems is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of maintenance practices, safety standards, and repair procedures.
- Ability to track repairs, maintain accurate records, and prepare reports.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially when responding to urgent facility issues.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as walking, climbing stairs, kneeling, and reaching.
- Must have reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally as needed.
