ResponsibilitiesClient Service & Sales Support – 35%
Educates clients on available products and services offered both in-branch and through digital channels. Initiates, processes, and completes a variety of loan types, including consumer, home equity, and small business lending. Effectively engages clients by asking insightful financial questions and using relationship‑management tools to strengthen connections. Identifies opportunities to refer clients to specialized partners such as wealth management, insurance, cash management, and mortgage services.
Leads lobby engagement to ensure timely greetings, assistance, and authentic expressions of appreciation. Resolves both routine and complex client concerns and supports customers with digital banking adoption. Ensures accurate documentation and compliance for new accounts and account maintenance.
Sales Culture & Team Development – 35%
Supports the branch manager in cultivating a strong sales culture aligned with branch goals and organizational initiatives. Helps employees perform at their best by providing coaching, training, and ongoing development. Monitors the quality and consistency of the client experience, ensuring standards are met. Communicates policies, procedures, and organizational objectives. Plays an active role in leading staff meetings and daily huddles. Maintains working knowledge of applicable banking regulations and security procedures.
May review and approve account‑related legal documents. Remains informed on new products, services, and promotions and assists the team in understanding and promoting them.
Branch Operations Support – 20%
Helps oversee daily branch operations, including opening and closing procedures in accordance with security requirements. Provides backup support for branch leadership and the client service team. Conducts or authorizes transactions and exceptions as necessary. Ensures the branch maintains a professional appearance and appropriate inventory levels. Reviews operational reports and may manage the monthly audit process.
Staff Management Assistance – 10%
Contributes to performance management by providing feedback and supporting decisions on salary adjustments or staff transfers. Addresses routine personnel matters and assists with coaching or disciplinary actions. Participates in interviewing candidates and may help determine hiring selections. May manage scheduling, time and attendance, and rotating weekend schedules.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensures adherence to all applicable banking laws, regulations, and internal policies to mitigate risk and uphold ethical standards.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3‑5 years of branch banking experience
- Demonstrated ability in decision making, handling difficult situations, initiative, and leadership
- Excellent customer service/sales skills
- Decision making and problem‑solving skills
- Written / verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Supervisory / management skills
