CMM Operator/Quality Technician
Shift: 2nd (must be able to train on 1st shift)

Our client is seeking a skilled CMM Operator/Quality Technician for a Direct Placement opportunity with a leading manufacturing firm. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in quality inspection, with expertise in CMM operation and First Article Inspection (FAI).

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform CMM operation to inspect precision components.
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections following engineering specifications and customer requirements.
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and height gauges.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure product conformity.
  • Document and maintain inspection reports, certifications, and compliance records.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other quality standards.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions to address non-conformances.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers regarding quality standards and FAI documentation.
  • Perform additional quality assurance tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of relevant FAI and CMM experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with CMM programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Proficiency in using measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
