As a Registered Nurse in BHN’s Carlson Recovery Center, you’ll play a vital role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance use disorders. You’ll provide exceptional medical and emotional care during one of the most critical stages of recovery—detoxification. You will assess, monitor, and support individuals’ physical and mental health needs while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence‑based, and compassionate care.

- Conduct assessments and monitor clients for signs of withdrawal or distress
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor treatment effectiveness
- Educate clients and families on wellness, recovery, and relapse prevention
- Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and recovery specialists to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation per BHN standards and CARF guidelines
- Current MA RN License through the Massachusetts Board of Registration (required)
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (preferred);
Diploma/Degree in Nursing (required) - At least 1 year of nursing experience (preferred)
- Experience in substance use or behavioral health treatment (preferred)
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
- Compassionate and patient‑centered with a strong sense of teamwork
Located in Springfield, MA, the Carlson Recovery Center provides 24‑hour medically monitored detoxification for adults aged 18 and older. Our experienced team includes board‑certified physicians, nurses, and addiction specialists who deliver evidence‑based, compassionate care to support safe withdrawal management and long‑term recovery success.
