A career within a Medicine Unit provides the opportunity to care for patients with a variety of medical concerns. These versatile careers can be challenging, and nurses in this specialty have extensive knowledge and leadership responsibilities on the healthcare team. The Medicine units at Baystate Health are highly specialized and form the foundation of a successful nursing career.

• Daly 6A is an ACE unit, Acute Care for Elders, promoting Aging in Place as the standard for elder care.
• The unit provides care for the older adult patient population with 39 beds, 16 semi-private rooms, and 5 end-of-life rooms.
• The unit offers an ACE room that promotes socialization and includes activities such as movies, games, and arts and crafts books.
• The unit provides pet therapy;
  Milo and Marlene visit once a month. Engagement activities include cookie decorating, reverse trunk or treat, and pumpkin painting.
• The unit is engaged with a supportive management team, including a geriatrician, physical therapist, case manager, NICHE program coordinator, geriatric resource nurses, and spiritual services.

• Part Time Nights 7 PM – 7 AM
• Every other weekend and rotating holidays

• New Grad RN (0-1 year of RN Licensure) — $41.00
• Experienced RN (1+ years of RN Licensure) — $42.66–$65.00

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification

The base pay range shown above considers knowledge/skills, relevant experience and training, education/certifications/licensure, and other business factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package or incentive payments that may be applicable to this role.
