Overview
Baystate Health, western Massachusetts’s premier healthcare provider, and home to Baystate Medical Center (BMC), a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence, is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our float pool team in the Central Staffing Office.

DESCRIPTION:
The primary mission of Central Staffing Office (CSO) is to provide high quality, safe and effective patient care by providing supplemental staffing resources to nursing units hospital-wide, on an anticipated and unanticipated basis, with the primary focus on patients and families.
Our vision is to provide Baystate Medical Center (BMC) with flexible staffing solutions in support of the organization’s mission.
The Float Pool provides the opportunity for nurses to work throughout BMC, in a variety of nursing units, including surgical, medical, critical care, intermediate care and others.
CSO is an internal float pool aimed at promoting professional nursing, while utilizing a nurse’s flexibility, expertise and experience.
The CSO provides an ideal setting for nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) who would like the opportunity to work in a variety of areas in which they possess the experience and skill competency.

Full-Time, 36-Hours per week.
The CSO is designed for flexibility in scheduling and offers a variety of employment opportunities.
Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Candidates must be willing to float to Baystate Noble in Westfield, MA and Baystate Wing in Palmer, MA.
Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years acute care experience with the last 12 months working in area of specialty (e.g., neuro, cardiovascular/telemetry, trauma, intermediate care, med-surg, ICU, etc.).Willing to float to more than one area and be flexible.
Education:
ASN required; BSN preferred.
