Postpartum area provides mother-baby couplet care. Staff are responsible for delivering comprehensive postpartum care, including maternal assessments, newborn evaluations, breastfeeding support, and education to assist families with postpartum discharge planning and care. Unit Size/Beds:
The postpartum unit consists of two areas:
Pod A, which includes 11 rooms, and Wesson 2, which has 20 rooms. Wesson 2 also offers surge capacity for up to 18 additional beds, as its rooms are designed to accommodate double occupancy. Expected Ratios: 3-4 mother baby couplet care Cases seen (If applicable):
