American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a float position requiring MA licensure and prior Level 1 ICU or MICU experience.
Details- ICU float position covering Medical HVCC, SICU, and IMC units
- 32-bed Medical ICU unit also licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients
- Patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 when acuity requires
- Cases include sepsis, ESRD and AKI requiring CRRT/CVVH, post cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure
- NOC shift schedule: 3x12s, 19:00-07:30, 36 hrs/week
- No on-call responsibilities
- 48-hour contracts will be accommodated
- Active MA RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (both through American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level 1 ICU required, or 2 years of MICU experience preferred
- Strong ICU clinical background required
- Unit maintains good staffing levels most of the time
- Candidates who are new grads with only 1 year of experience may not be suitable for this unit's acuity level
