** DEPARTMENT

DESCRIPTION:

*** The Oncology is a full-service 23 bed unit providing a wide array of inpatient therapies and comfort measures.
* The unit provides chemotherapy treatment, end of life care, and houses general medical/surgical patients and specialty oncology patients.
* This unit features a solid team with longevity on staff.  
** Responsibilities:**
* ** Clinical Practice and Quality Outcomes**-The Nurse Manager administers direct nursing care to patients and serves as a clinical resource and role model of clinical excellence for staff.
* ** Human Resource Leadership**:
The Nurse Manger in collaboration with the Nurse Manager leads a positive work environment that facilitates the delivery of excellent patient and caregiver experiences.t.
* ** Management of the Patient Care Environment**:
The Nurse Manager is a leader who is highly visible on the patient care unit and is responsible for the effective management of patient progress and outcomes of care.

* QUALIFICATIONS:

*** Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
* BSN Required

* Experience:

Five years inpatient nursing experience required.
* Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) through Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation required
* Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.
