Travel RN - Telemetry

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry/Intermediate Care RN for a night shift position requiring MA RN licensure and at least 1 year of experience.

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred
• Telemetry or intermediate care unit experience preferred

• Work on a 20-bed cardiac telemetry/intermediate care unit within a hospital setting
• Care for adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and management of acute and chronic cardiac conditions
• Patients may be admitted from the ED, transferred from the ICU after stabilization, or admitted for ongoing inpatient medical management
• Common conditions include ACS, arrhythmias, CHF, new stroke, pulmonary embolism, and electrolyte imbalances
• Administer a wide range of cardiac and medical medications, including antiarrhythmics, anticoagulants, diuretics, and antianginal medications
• Manage high-alert IV infusions such as heparin, amiodarone, diltiazem, dobutamine, nitroglycerin, and insulin drips
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and cardiac assessments every 4 hours and as needed
• Shift is primarily NOC 7p-7a, 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• Weekend coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Responsibilities include rhythm interpretation, hemodynamic assessment, vital sign monitoring, and timely escalation of care for clinical deterioration
• Additional duties include medication administration, heart failure and chest pain management, post-procedure monitoring, fall prevention, patient education, and discharge planning
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including patient care technicians and unit secretaries for coordinated patient care
