Farmstore 99 , the flagship retail location of Agric Organics , is seeking a friendly and dependable Cashier to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and values local, organic food.
Key Responsibilities:Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming environment
Accurately operate the cash register, process payments (cash, credit, SNAP/EBT, WIC, and OTC), and issue receipts
Assist customers with questions about products, prices, and promotions
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
Bag groceries carefully and efficiently
Monitor and restock front-end supplies (bags, receipts, sanitizers, etc.)
Follow all store procedures and handle transactions securely
Communicate with team members and management about customer needs or issues
Support general store duties as needed (e.g., stocking, cleaning, assisting in other departments)
Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place products on shelving at various heights.
Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
RequirementsQualifications
Must be 18 years and older
Prior retail or cashier experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
Excellent communication, writing and customer service skills
Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional efficient manner, following instructions and giving attention to detail
Meet any state and federal requirements for handling SNAP and HIP transactions.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
A minimum of 1-2 years of progressive experience in a retail environment
A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge
