Description:

** The System Physical Security Coordinator is responsible for managing the planning, implementation, and oversight of physical security operations across Baystate Health’s facilities, including Baystate Medical Center, community hospitals, outpatient clinics, and administrative sites. This position ensures a consistent and proactive security presence that supports the safety of patients, staff, and visitors while aligning with Baystate Health’s mission, values, and regulatory obligations.

Reporting to the Director, System Security and Public Safety, the Coordinator will lead system-wide efforts in physical security infrastructure, access control, surveillance technology, and emergency readiness, while collaborating with local security leaders and cross-functional teams to conduct security vulnerability assessments and training in order to maintain a safe healing environment.

This role is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of physical security and security technology operations across the system. Current security systems include the Security Management Systems (SMS), Video Management Systems (VMS), Infant Protection Systems (IPS), Incident Records Management System (IRMS), Weapons Detection Systems (WDS), Visitor/Guest Management Systems and other security-related technologies and applications.
