Regional Heavy Equipment Field Technician

Earthborne, Inc. is an authorized distributor for JCB, Rayco, Morbark, and other construction and forestry equipment lines in the Eastern United States, providing top quality products and services since 1976. Due to an increase in business, Earthborne is seeking Field Service Technicians who enjoy traveling. These positions will be based out of Warrington, PA but will be in the field ninety-nine percent of the time, traveling to other locations (generally out-of-state for days or weeks at a time) when necessary to fulfill job requirements.

Much of our customer base is located east of the Mississippi River. Training will be provided one-on-one in the field by a senior technician. All travel expenses are paid by the company.

Responsibilities

• Travel to other locations when necessary to fulfill job requirements
• Build relationships with customers
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Train operators in the proper daily and periodic machine care and operation
• Repair machines as needed
• Be the ‘face’ of Earthborne to our valued customers and their field employees
• Service regular customers in accordance with long-term service contracts; visit each machine four times a year

Qualifications

• Customer service experience
• 3 years of experience diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment or similar
• Experience working on tree care or forestry equipment preferred
• Strong diagnostic skills
• Good communications skills
• Competence with hand, air and electrical tools
• Ability to consistently repair components and equipment in line with manufacturer standards
• Self-motivated and trustworthy
• Ability to work independently and make field decisions
• Own basic tools for equipment repair
• Willingness to travel for two to three weeks at a time
• Must have a good driving record; CDL not required but a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Starting salary: $75,000.00 per year base, based on experience

Location: Warrington, PA (field-based with extensive travel)
