Western Massachusetts Electric Company has a position available in the Substation Construction Department for an Electrician. In order to be considered for this opening, candidates should hold a valid Massachusetts Journeyman's Electrician license (or the equivalent) and have a valid drivers license, clean driving record and a CDL along with Hazmat endorsement (or the ability to obtain both). Must be available to perform overtime and emergency work as required and pass the CAST Test.

This position will be designated shift work with the possibility of Saturday as a workday and a four, ten-hour workweek may be scheduled. The ability to work in inclement weather and be willing to work outside of your assigned district is required. Individuals may be required to job-site report. Also, The Construction Electricians Job Site report to Substations across the Western Mass territory for all job assignments for the duration of the particular job as our normal course of business.

The electricians may work in teams of 2 and most times work in a larger team of 4 or 5 electricians depending on the job scope for the Substation Construction project that they would be assigned in one of our Distribution or Transmission Substations. The Journey level electricians may be asked to work Storm Restoration assignments for larger storms in Western Mass and sometimes other Eversource areas as well.
