Protective Services Support Specialist, Bilingual English/Spanish

Greater Springfield Senior Services, Inc. is seeking a bilingual professional to assist older at‑risk adults within the Protective Services department and Anchor program.

Part‑time (35 hours per week).

• Assist older at‑risk adults within the Protective Services department and Anchor program.
• Receive screened‑out referrals pertaining to housing and provide case assistance to Protective Services Workers with collateral calls to assess risk.
• Appropriately use documentation systems such as APS and Form Site to document all contacts with collaterals, intake assessments, and case progress notes.
• Minimize case backlog by requesting case assistance for housing referrals and assessing risk in a timely manner.
• Complete collateral calls for active investigations and housing intakes within 48 hours to allow time for review of APS and Form Site records.
• Adhere to supervision requirements in accordance with GSSSI Policy; request additional guidance/directives with complex situations, and notify the overseeing PSS of completion of collateral calls.
• Track case assistance in an Excel spreadsheet for each assigned case, including completion dates of collateral calls. Debrief the direct PSS so that the interdisciplinary team is prepared; provide a monthly Excel spreadsheet to the overseeing Protective Services Supervisor and Protective Services Director.

• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work 35 hours per week (part‑time).
• Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) if employed by a not‑for‑profit.
• Travel reimbursement of $0.70 per mile.
