Overview
The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a School-Based Clinical Caseworker to join our West Springfield Clinic. The Masters-Level Clinical Caseworker will provide services to youth in the West Springfield Middle School. The role works in collaboration with a Bachelor's-level Caseworker to implement the therapeutic objectives of the treatment plan designed to address the youth's mental health, behavioral and emotional needs.
REQUIREMENTS
:
- Master’s degree in related field
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Availability to work M-F 8am-4pm
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Mentor the youth to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control feelings and emotional responses to situations and to assist the family to address the youth's emotional and mental health needs
- Assist with care coordination with other community providers that are involved with the youth's treatment
- Collaborate with the Bachelor s caseworker, youth, family and school to develop all service plans
- Facilitate small groups, access recreational activities, plan and carry out community activities, and provide homework help
