Software Engineer Oliver Wyman Springfield, MA

We're after a Software Engineer whose idea of a good day is an unpretentious pull request that closed three tickets and opened zero. We're hiring a junior Software Engineer to join Oliver Wyman on an internship basis, with $56,000 - $83,000 on offer and genuine room to advance.

• Translate technology compliance rules into Cultural Awareness guardrails baked into the build
• Guard the Communication codebase quality through reviews that teach as much as they catch
• Backfill GraphQL test coverage on the riskiest corners of Oliver Wyman's codebase
• Containerize applications and manage deployments with PostgreSQL and Communication
• Stress-test PostgreSQL systems until they bend, then harden where they cracked

• Comfort navigating ambiguity when the brief arrives half-written
• A portfolio that speaks louder than any line on your resume
• Calm under the fast-paced chaos a junior role tends to generate
• The kind of empathy that makes hard feedback land softly

Oliver Wyman began as a side project in Springfield and grew into the safety-first platform thousands of technology users now rely on. Respect for your craft and your life outside it sits at the core of how Oliver Wyman operates.

The bottom line: $56,000 - $83,000, mentorship, benefits, and flexibility, wrapped into a Software Engineer role that grows as fast as you do.

The team just got the green light to hire, and this Software Engineer role is first up.

Bring your Communication, your questions, and your ambition; we'll bring the rest at Oliver Wyman.
