Job Title

Testing Assistant (Pool) – Temporary, Part‑time

Location

Springfield Center, VSCC Campus, Volunteer State Community College.

Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide test proctoring services in the College's Testing Centers.

Job Duties
  • Assist with the check‑in/check‑out procedures for examinees.
  • Monitor examinees throughout testing.
  • Maintain test security to ensure confidentiality, integrity of test materials, and test procedures.
  • Lift and/or transport test materials to/from the Testing Center.
  • Perform some light clerical work such as answering telephone calls, copying, filing, etc.
  • Follow written and oral directions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of current PC software applications.
  • Interpersonal skills consistent with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships in the Testing Center and with examinees.
Compensation

$14.00 per hour.

Availability/Closing Date

Applications for temporary part‑time positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department when openings become available. Postings close yearly on October 31; you will need to re‑apply each year.

Work Hours

Part‑time. Hours may vary depending on need. Must be available to work the Testing Center's operational hours, which may include occasional Saturdays and/or evenings.

Work Location

Must be flexible to work at other locations as needed.
